I actually had to disable it and since there are 3 1/2 settings in that area for ransomware, protection should still be ok with that feature disabled as you still get document protection against unauthorized encryption and modification and blocking of processes commonly associated with ransomware. Also the exceptions in BM is named based and not hashed in anyway so if you update your program you do not have to create a new excepption. That particular feature can be too aggressive sometimes is why I suggested it. You could also try un checking "Enable program inspection to detect and block compromised executable files" under behavior monitoring if that is checked, sometimes that can be a little too aggressive. Add exception, but I would not disable that feature. I have had to do this for all our software, a little bit of work, but worth it. Like virus scanning and add it as a Trusted Program and so on. Yes, add as much as you can as an exception within Trend Micro. Would adding the general exe help still do you think? I should have mentioned that the program runs fine, and it is a process within the program that triggers Trend.
